Tokujin Yoshioka approaches design as a form of scientific inquiry. His ongoing research into crystal growth, the way natural structures emerge from invisible forces, has informed some of his most distinctive work, and the Element collection distills that inquiry into furniture form. Rather than conventional legs, the rectangular table rests on one or two tilted prisms. Each support pivots so that a single beveled corner meets the floor while the opposite corner cradles the tabletop above. The result reads as a moment caught mid-motion, a structure that appears to defy the logic of weight and gravity while remaining entirely resolved.
