At other times, it’s the untold stories imbued into each and every mark, scuff and scratch that gives a timepiece that undeniable charm we so desperately love. This time-only Elgin from the 1950s is imbued with precisely this type of character. Housed in a 30.5mm stainless steel case, this small-but-mighty piece features an acrylic crystal, an unsigned crown, ‘holey’ lugs, and a screw-down caseback. The dial has patinated to an awesome champagne tone and features printed indices, applied quadrant markers, a matching sword handset, a ‘spear’ central-seconds hand, and a 'smiley' "Shockmaster" signature. Outfitted with an Analog:Shift Byrd Blue Cervo strap with a matching steel pin buckle, this piece is powered by a self-winding Elgin Calibre 643 equipped with a full-body rotor and 17 jewels.
