One New Aftermarket Replacement Solid State Ignition Module for Kohler Courage Single-Cylinder EnginesThis aftermarket replacement solid state module (ignition coil) serves as the
ignition system heart for Kohler Courage single-cylinder vertical-shaft engines. Mounted adjacent to the flywheel, the module uses the rotating flywheel magnet to generate and time spark delivery to the cylinder. A failed or weak module commonly causes hard starting, misfires, or no-spark conditions. The air gap between the module and flywheel magnet should be set to 0.008 in. - 0.012 in. (approx. 0.010 in.) upon installation. This part replaces OEM Kohler part numbers 20 584 03-S and 20 584 04-S, as well as earlier superseded numbers 20 584 01-S and 2058401-S.
