Screw in the barb, add the two 90 degree elbows, and you've got a clean U-shaped loop that routes your tubing right over the trim. No extra hardware clamped to the rim, and no fighting for space on a crowded tank edge. The ATO sensor mounts directly to the magnet as well, keeping everything consolidated in one tidy spot.
