Use Elk Tallow for sautéing, frying, and roasting, as its high smoke point allows for excellent heat stability and a delectable golden crust. Beyond the kitchen, Elk Fat Tallow makes a great base for DIY skincare. Elk tallow (like all our tallows) has natural moisturizing properties to nourish and hydrate your skin. Excellent for handmade soap making, Elk Tallow produces a rich, smooth lather for a gentle (not drying) cleansing experience. Additionally, Elk Tallow can be used for natural leather conditioning and is used in homesteading circles to help restore and protect prized leather goods. The farm we source from only raises Pasture Raised Elk and we have affidavits from the farm that states that the Elk are raised exclusively on pasture.
