Ellana™ is a 12wt 2-ply merino wool thread blended with acrylic (50/50) for added strength. The thread can be used for hand stitching or can be used in the machine. It offers rich color, a soft loft, and fray resistance. The twist coats wool appliqué edges, creating a nearly invisible whipstitch. With minimal fuzz, the thread ensures smoothness for intricate details. To use Ellana (Wonderfil) wool-blend thread in your Elna machine, use a larger needle (90/14 or 100/16). This durable thread works well for machine quilting and embroidery on wool projects, but watch tension and needle choice for best results. The 60 vibrant colors are coordinated with our mill dyed and Sue Spargo studio dyed wool fabrics, making it easy to coordinate projects.
