Just outside of Milan in the Cologno Monzese region of Italy is a tiny 4-person factory assembling, checking, and testing the Klizia 97 stapler by hand. Ellepi was started by stationery designer Oscar Lepre in 1977, and out of his love for the ocean, the stapler’s iconic design resembles a whale. As these are hand made, each stapler is unique and any small imperfections are considered normal. Made in Italy.It includes a pack of 1000 mini staples, with each staple having the capacity to bind 16 sheets together.Use instructions: To refill staples, carefully unhook and remove spring. Gently push staples down the track and return spring to secure staples. The stapler has a patented anti-jamming device that allows for ease of use.
