Blueberry 'Elliott'Vaccinium corymbosum 'Elliott' Height: 1.2 m Width: 1 m Zone: 3 Exposure: Sun Blueberries require at least 6 hours of sun and well drained, acidic soil. Blueberries require more than one variety planted in the same area in order to produce well. They need a soil high in organic matter. 'Elliot' is a vigorous plant needing hard pruning and thinning. Although 'Elliot' is self-pollinating, having other varieties nearby will increase yield. 'Elliot' pollinates especially well with 'Patriot' and 'Hardyblue'. Blueberry plants grow best in a well-drained, acidic, moist, soil, in full sun or partial shade. Fruit size and production is improved when two or more cultivars are planted together. After fruiting, prune out any branches more than 4 years old, to ensure subsequent fruit production. We strongly recommend amending the planting area with Fafard Acid Loving Plant and Berry Soil Mix Certified Organic by EcoCert Canada
