A mid season eating apple. Flushed orange red with broad, broken red stripes. Creamy white flesh with an aniseed flavour which develops after picking. A cross between Cox's Orange Pippin and Caville Blanc. Raised in 1904 by Rev. Ellison, renowned pomologist and fruit grower with over 1500 fruit trees.
