He was a Golden Gopher football player from 1976 to 1980 and an All-Big Ten wide receiver in 1979, selected by the Miami Dolphins in the Fourth Round. He then worked for United Airlines for 35 years (Retired) and became a children's book author. His future plans include making one of his books into an animated movie.
