They formed an instant connection about stories and childhood hopes. When she was little, Kylie would sit in her Nana’s back room sewing clothes for her dolls, and learning to knit and crochet. She always loved that feeling of creating something from nothing. After seeing so many soft toys come and go in her own children’s lives—often poorly made and loved for a moment, and quickly discarded—Kylie set out to create something different. The name comes from one of Kylie’s favourite nursery rhyme as a child “Hey Diddle Diddle” — a gentle reminder to laugh, dream, and hold onto the wonder of being little.
