About Elpida Insecticide Elpida (Emamectin) is an insecticide from the naturally occurring Avermectin group. ELPIDA Insecticide effectively controls chewing pests like bollworms in cotton. Elpida also targets fruit and shoot borers in okra. ELPIDA Insecticide Technical Details Technical Name: Emamectin Benzoate 5% SG Mode of Action: Chloride channel activators work on nerve cells to suppress muscle contractions, leading to a continuous flow of chloride ions at the GABA and H-Glutamate receptor sites. This results in paralysis of the insect, causing it to stop feeding.
