A little lantern with a lot of characterLambeth Palace is a half lantern in the old English tradition, the kind of fitting you would expect to see either side of a grand doorway, o nly scaled down to sit comfortably on an ordinary house. The pierced fretwork frieze along the top and the glazed, hinged front give it a proper old world lantern feel rather than a modern reproduction of one.FinishThis version comes in an aged brass finish, warm and slightly weathered looking rather than bright and polished, with clear glass panels on each side so the light spreads outward as well as down.How it worksIt takes a single E27 bulb, not included, and will dim if you fit dimmable bulbs, though the sensor free design means you switch it on and off in the ordinary way rather than relying on any timer or sensor.
