When exposed to air and cooling earth, sapfire darkens from bright ember to a deep crimson hue, leaving behind stains that mark the grain of the forest itself. The Arborin do not harvest this resin by force; instead they gather what the trees willingly release after fire has passed through the land. Artifacts shaped in the EmberRoot Conclave often bear these marks. The Ember-Marked Cleaver carries the memory of sapfire within its form — wood hardened by heat and grain darkened to a deep red where the living resin once flowed.
