Description The Emberix is a 640mm white flush ceiling light with three GX53 bulb fittings arranged in a stepped square formation across three overlapping metal plates. Each plate is finished in matt white powder-coat and sits at a different depth from the ceiling, creating a layered geometric composition while keeping the overall projection to 345mm. The three circular apertures take GX53 bulbs (sold separately), which sit recessed behind the metal edges. Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.2-2.6m where a pendant would hang too low, the Emberix provides ambient lighting across living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and kitchen-diners without dropping into head space. The stepped plate arrangement diffuses light outward and upward rather than straight down, softening shadows on walls and ceilings. The dimmable GX53 bulbs allow the light level to be adjusted throughout the day, from bright task light in the morning to softer ambient light in the evening. The white metal finish blends with white or off-white ceilings, making the fitting appear as an architectural detail rather than a dominant fixture. The 640mm length suits rooms of 12-18m² floor area, providing adequate coverage without requiring multiple fittings. The matt white powder-coat on the metal plates resists fingerprints during installation and cleaning, and the IP20 rating confirms suitability for standard interior dry locations. The overlapping square plates create a modern geometric silhouette that works in both minimalist and mid-century-influenced interiors. The GX53 bulb format is compact and widely available in LED options from 7W to 11W, with most users opting for 3000K warm white LEDs to match the tone of other room lighting. The Emberix takes three GX53 bulbs, sold separately. GX53 is a compact disc-shaped bulb format with a bayonet-style twist-lock base. Most users fit LED GX53 bulbs between 7W and 11W in warm white (3000K) to match typical residential lighting. Is it dimmable? Yes, when paired with dimmable GX53 LED bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. Dimmer compatibility varies by bulb brand, so check the bulb specification before pairing with a dimmer. What ceiling height does it suit? With a 345mm projection from the ceiling, the Emberix suits ceiling heights of 2.2m and above. The flush-mount format keeps the fitting close to the ceiling, making it a good choice for low-ceiling rooms where a pendant would hang into head space. What size room does it cover? The 640mm length and three-bulb arrangement provide adequate ambient lighting for rooms of 12-18m² floor area, such as a typical bedroom, study or small living room. For larger open-plan spaces, consider pairing with a second fitting or supplementary task lighting.
