Stitch & Smile! Ready to try something relaxing, creative, and just plain fun? Join our Embroidery Art class — no experience needed. In this hands-on class, you'll learn the basics of embroidery and 3 simple stitches (running, back and French knot). By the end of the class, you’ll create your very own stitched masterpiece on paper to show off — or give as a heartfelt handmade gift. Come stitch with us — it’s easier than you think, and way more fun than you expect. We’ll create a unique multimedia piece that pops to life with color and dimension. Choose from pre-printed designs on paper or photos. That's RIGHT, on paper, it's easier to learn by stitching on paper, doesn't require stretching and easy to frame. Designs/photos used in class: we have a selection to choose from OR you are free to bring your own 5" x 7” on heavy card-stock. It’s best to use a duplicate or copy for practice in this class !! Please do not bring an original one-of-a-kind photo !!This is a great workshop for both beginner and experienced embroiderers alike. We’ll begin with learning 3 basic embroidery stitches and use those to enhance your photo or design in a visually compelling way. This method is a great way to bring new life to old photos or add pizazz to new ones.
