Place a paper or plastic bobbin the in the slot with the hole in line with the hole in the disc. Replace pin to keep bobbin in place. Slip the slots at base of winder onto the side of an embroidery thread organiser, with the bobbin facing the caddy (or you can simply hold the winder in one hand). Remove paper wrappers and slip an embroidery skein over your hand, cat the free end into one slit on the bobbin and holding the thread tail between finger and thumb to keep a little tension, turn the handle to wind the floss onto the bobbin. Finish by catching the floss end into the other slit on the bobbin.
