ABOUT Ever wanted to add a little decorative motif to a shirt collar or cover up a mend with something more fun but not sure how? Perhaps you want to try something new, or just spend time with like minded folk. Join us for a beginners workshop (or whatever level you're at) using our new DMC crewel wool yarns. Think of it as advanced drawing and colouring in - a really relaxing way to switch off and enjoy the creative freedom of embroidery. Week 1: You’ll learn an array of different embroidery stitches, to create a small sampler. You’ll have time to practice and refine your technique. Week 2: You’ll use the stitches you’ve learnt in Week 1 to design, and create a small motif (or two, if you’re speedy) through layering different colours and stitches together. LEVEL Beginners Our insurance policy requires all participants to be 18 years of age or older. We are unable to accommodate anyone under 18 even with parental guidance. WHAT TO BRING Please bring glasses if you wear them. You are welcome to bring something to embroider onto if you wish, or use what we provide to practice some embroidery techniques.
