It’s probably one of the most recognizable things that I’ve done, and one of the first really well-resolved pieces, both aesthetically and technically.” The Embryo was Marc’s most technologically advanced project to date, making use of injection moulded polyurethane foam over an internal steel frame, and the surface was then covered in wetsuit neoprene. “I came up with the idea of upholstering it in wetsuit fabric, because the colours were strong and I was seduced by the texture.
