Jean Prounis founded her eponymous brand in 2017 to create thoughtful jewelry with reverence to history. Inspired by her Greek heritage and by the visual language of her great-grandparents’ New York nightclub, the Versailles, Prounis designs are an ode to origins. While most ancient perfume bottles, called alabaster, were formed of its namesake material, quickly their makers turned to glass in patterns mimicking lapis and marble. The elongated, drop-like vessels held cedar, rose, amber, and myrrh, among other popular oils, variously chosen for their soothing or sensual qualities. Our opaque emerald alabstra are topped with gold caps, suspended from a post-backed gold-and-emerald oval. Emerald, 22K gold 22mm x 9.5mm Prounis hand selects each beautiful stone, which naturally vary in color and striation. Handmade in New York, New York
