Rubus pentalobus 'Emerald Carpet' This durable evergreen groundcover, from the mountains of Taiwan, has beautiful clover-shaped, leathery green foliage with firm hairs that give th e leaves a prickly texture. It spreads vigorously to cover the ground, turning an attractive coppery color in the autumn. It grows only a few inches tall. The subtle white flowers give way to mildly-flavored and infrequent orange berries that ripen in early summer. Grows in sun or shade. Tolerates heat well, and drought tolerant once established.
