To become a certified Open Water Scuba Instructor, you must also be certified as an Emergency First Response (EFR) Instructor or hold a First Aid/CPR Instructor certification from another recognized organization. At New England Dive, we offer the EFR Instructor Course for any PADI DiveMaster / PADI AI, if you are enrolling in an IDC (Instructor Development Course) we include the course for no cost (e-learning material not included). This course will be completed prior to the start of the Instructor Examination (IE) meeting CPR / First Aid Prerequisite.
