Thousands of trigonometric functions were overlaid and tuned to create the structure in this piece. Point placement is chaotic in some regions due to the presence of numerous sharp asymptotes. In other regions, order dominates as the asymptotes become more sparse. Patterns that arise are similar to emergent phenomena; each layer of the plot is simple and unremarkable on its own, but all layers together create a complex form not found in the constituent parts.
