About this design: Many witches are cloaked in black, which I certainly embrace, but we love color in my world. My first pieces were painted on black backgrounds, bringing color into the void, and through that process I began to understand what I was actually doing. Each creation was an excavation, hours and hours spent in deep psychological examination, illuminating the previously unseen parts of self and bringing them forward into form and light through design. Color has always been my spell and way of entering the void, of finding vibrancy and clarity in the places most people only see shadow and cease to examine further due to the energy it takes to truly illuminate. There is something that wants to be seen in the darkness and I have always been drawn to the work of finding it and giving it a color. These pieces are transmissions. They come from the same place everything else I make comes from, the deep interior, the parts of experience that do not have words yet but somehow have a hue.
