Required for SSI Freediving Instructor candidacy. Why oxygen training matters In a near-drowning, decompression illness, shallow water blackout, smoke inhalation, severe asthma attack, or cardiac event, supplemental oxygen meaningfully changes outcomes — but only if the person delivering it knows how to set up the kit, choose the right mask, manage flow rates, and monitor the casualty.
