This was a commission for a lady who was walking along a country lane with her young daughter when a white stag emerged from the hedgerow, held their gaze for what seemed like an e ternity, then disappeared into the trees. A magical moment. Woodblock (plywood); each one hand printed on Conqueror laid vellum block printing paper with black linseed oil based relief printing ink. Unframed 28cm x 35.5cm.
