The EMG ABCX-SOL is the X-Series-compatible version of the ABC-SOL blend control, replacing the traditional three- or five-way selector switch with a continuously variable blend pot that mixes the bridge and neck pickup signals across the full sweep of the control. The circuit is voiced and impedance-matched for EMG's X-Series active pickup family, where the standard ABC-SOL is designed for the classic EMG active circuit; both modules give the same continuous blending behaviour, but each needs to be paired with its matching pickup family for correct signal levels and loading. It sits on the EMG solderless accessory shelf alongside the standard ABC-SOL (for classic EMG active pickups), the AB Afterburner clean boost for standard 25K instruments, and the AB220 Afterburner for 220K-format instruments. This is the right choice for X-Series-equipped guitars and basses where the player wants continuous pickup blending rather than switched selection, with the same natural fit on two-humbucker guitars, PJ basses, and any two-pickup instrument where a dialled-in bias between neck and bridge is more useful than the fixed positions of a selector switch. Solderless plug-in installation via the EMG X-Series quick-connect harness. For standard EMG active pickup systems, the ABC-SOL is the correct part. Distributed and supported in the UK by Selectron.
