The EMG JMASTER System is the complete pre-wired version of the JMASTER pickup set for Jazzmaster-style guitars. It carries the same two active wide single-coils as the JMASTER Set, voiced to retain the bright, slightly hollow, articulate character of the original Jazzmaster sound, but ships as a full solderless installation with pickups, pots, switch, output jack and harness all wired and ready to drop into the instrument. The active platform underneath gives the same benefits across both formats: hum-free operation, consistent loading regardless of cable length, and an even output across the whole guitar volume sweep. What the System format adds is install time. With every component pre-wired and connected by EMG's quick-connect harness, fitting the System into a Jazzmaster body becomes a matter of dropping the assembly into place, securing the pickups, and connecting the battery, rather than working through the wiring loom from scratch. Supplied as the complete pre-wired assembly. Runs from a single 9V battery. Best suited to builders, techs, or players who want the active Jazzmaster voice without the soldering work that a from-scratch installation would normally require.
