The bridge pickup (RTCX) gives players that incredible top end and output without sacrificing a tight bass response. When overdriven, this pickup screams with incredible sustain and bite. The neck pickup (FTCX) is bright and smooth with rich harmonic content that is perfectly matched to the back pickup. The EMG TCX Set covers rock, country, blues, fusion, R&B... and with our solderless wiring system, it's easy to install on your own.The X series preamp gives the pickup a more dynamic range along with increased headroom while keeping the more traditional string-to-string balance. X series pickups also come with an Active Tone Control (VLPF) designed to roll-off (attenuate) high frequencies, similar to a typical passive tone control.
