This is the Emilie Quilt, named after my daughter Emilie and the quilt that I made for her arrival. The Emilie Quilt is made up of nine traditional Ohio Star quilt blocks. The quil t block itself is not an original design by The Stitch Saloon. The Ohio Star is a classic quilt block design rooted in the American Civil War era. This pattern has been written to provide simple direction on creating a nine-patch quilt in various sizes using the Ohio Star quilt block design, with a simple sashing between each block to help your fabrics shine.It is a beginner friendly pattern that takes you through a few fundamental methods in quilting, being the half and quarter square triangles and a nine patch block. It is also perfect for the seasoned quilter wanting a quick make to show off those beautiful fabrics that you've been saving in your stash!
