Rum4me offers 2 different bottlings of Emperor Rum; the Heritage version and the Sherry Finish. All are fermented, distilled, matured and blended in Mauritius. Emperor Rum is distilled and matured in Mauritius, and produced from a blend of sugar cane juice and sugar cane molasses. In this rum series, the styles are blended, creating a very special flavor combination that is rarely seen in the rum world. Emperor Rum Heritage is a sweet rum bottled at 40% alcohol, with flavors of dark chocolate, coffee, french oak, spices, and tart elements from the fresh sugar cane juice, and lots of fruit. a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb; } tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6; } tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5; } The reason for the great diversity in rum production on Mauritius lies in the island’s history. Mauritius was a Dutch colony (1638–1710), a French colony (1715–1810), and a British colony (1810–1968). As a result, the island is multi-ethnic, multi-religious, multicultural, multilingual and, of course, a producer of a wide variety of products. Emperor Rum is therefore the perfect example of the island’s heritage and history, combining French “Agricole”-style rum with English-style rum. Traditional rum meets agricultural rum - the best of both worlds.
