Emperor's Silk is a vivid and vibrant red Chalk Paint® colour that draws inspiration from the luxurious silk lining of a jacket. The hue is reminiscent of Chinese lacquer, especially when combined with Black Chalk Paint® Wax, adding depth and richness to the colour. This bold shade is perfect for adding a pop of colour to the interior of a cupboard or drawer. Emperor's Silk pairs well with neutral colours like Old White and Paris Grey, which help to balance out the intensity of the colour. For a more dramatic look, it can be paired with deep shades of navy blue or emerald green. When paired with metallic accents like gold or brass, Emperor's Silk creates a look of opulence and luxury. This versatile shade is perfect for creating a statement piece in any room. In addition to its rich color, Emperor's Silk creates an incredibly rich dye for sola flowers, making them stand out even more. For an Americana look, Emperor's Silk can be paired with Napoleonic blue and Old White to create a traditional statement that embodies the patriotic spirit of the United States. Emperor's Silk can also be paired with Amsterdam Green to create a traditional Christmas color scheme, which is perfect for holiday decor. However, for a more whimsical Christmas look, consider pairing Emperor's Silk with Antibes Green. This combination creates a playful and festive vibe that is perfect for a more lighthearted holiday decor style. The bold pop of red from Emperor's Silk pairs perfectly with the playful green of Antibes, creating a unique and eye-catching color scheme. What It IsAnnie Sloan Chalk Paint® is a water-based decorative paint for furniture, cabinetry, walls and creative finishes.
