There's so much going on with the Echosystem Delay from Empress Effects it's easy to get overwhelmed. Thankfully the 12 preset modes including digital, tape, analog, lo-fi and many more make it easy to select a mode and get to playing. This Dual Engine pedal also allows for two simulations algorithms to run at once, routed in either parallel, series or left/right configurations. For example you could run a bright delay, blended with a second dark filtered delay running in parellel to keep the character of each delay intact.
