The Empress ParaEq w/Boost puts a powerful, musical, high-quality EQ in a conveniently small package. The signal path uses transparent components with strong tone-shaping and low operating noise, so your instrument still sounds like your instrument, only better. Three bands of parametric EQ, each with three selectable Q widths, give you very flexible EQ. Wide Q is great for general tone shaping and is extremely transparent. Medium Q handles everyday problem solving, from pulling out boxiness in the low mids to easing harshness and adding bite in the upper mids. Narrow Q excels at notching out problem frequencies and is a lifesaver for acoustic players fighting feedback. The Boost section offers 30dB of clean boost and can be set to engage with the EQ (make-up gain when doing subtractive EQ) or used entirely on its own as a pure clean boost. Handy for lifting your solo volume, or for hitting the front end of a tube amp for a bit more break-up. Features All-analogue signal path for the most organic tone possible.
