The Vibrato mode includes a standard vibrato effect that's very '60s, all the way to your Pink Floyd-ian rotating speaker effect. Flanger can be set to the classic '60s tape flange (think "The Rooster" from Alice In Chains for a more modern example), a '70s-era negative feedback type, or the coveted thru-zero flange. Additionally, each mode has a special Little/None/Lots switch so you can further tweak how much each effect manifests in your tone.
