In my photographer's mind I thought I knew the shot I was going to take when visiting the Empty Sky Memorial in Jersey City, NJ but once I got there it surpassed anything I could h ave envisioned. The memorial is the official New Jersey September 11 Memorial to the state's victims. The name of the memorial is taken from the Bruce Springsteen song "Empty Sky". Twin stainless steel walls reflect the light of the day with 749 names of the victims carved into the interior walls. These walls direct you across the Manhattan Skyline to the Freedom Tower.
