Description This keyring is made using ethically and sustainably sourced leather and offcuts of the University of Edinburgh Medical School's official tartan. Designed by a student at the Edinburgh College of Art, the tartan features red and yellow symbolising blood, the liver, and pus, the traditional colours of Edinburgh Medical School. Purple lines mark the admission of women in 1869, while triple red lines represent the influence of the University of Padua and 300 years of scientific progress in Edinburgh. The offcuts are salvaged from other products in order to reduce waste. Due to the nature of the tartan pattern, the appearance of each item varies and is unique.
