This embroidered patch measures 4" height x 3 7/8" wide What's the difference between "Woven" and "Embroidered" patches? Woven patches use different colored threads that are actually woven by a loom directly into fabric to create the desired design. This allows the patch to retain far more detail then an embroidered patch. However, weaving threads are not as bright and vibrant as embroidery threads. Embroidered patches are created by stitching colored threads on top of a fabric backing to create the desired design. These colored embroidery threads are more vibrant but rest directly on top of the fabric backing thus limiting the ability to obtain fine details within the design.
