The Endrika Bag from the Faces of the Earth collection draws inspiration from the ceremonial masks of the Sukuma people of Tanzania, who represent one half of ANYANGO's heritage. Long associated with storytelling, protection, and ancestral presence, these masks inform the spirit of each piece. Handcrafted from natural raffia and embroidered with imagery translated directly from ANYANGO's original paintings, every bag is created by hand and no two are ever exactly alike. Variations in the weave, embroidery, and finish are celebrated as part of each bag's unique character. The Endrika Bag takes its name from the Malagasy word endrika, meaning "form" or "appearance." It celebrates the visual language of identity, where every line, color, and contour becomes a reflection of individuality.
