Entrejambe

Two legs cross at the centre of a black field, the body surfacing from darkness rather than sitting on it. Where the legs meet, a reddened form opens, collapsing the line between b odily geometry and its Entrejambe. Around them drift smaller shapes, curved and tailed, holding several readings at once: sperm, seedpods, marine larvae, never resolving into one. The piece suggests a field of potential rather than illustrating reproduction. Its title, French for the space between the legs, is direct where the image is not, and the crossing itself reads as both concealment and structural support. Show more
