The ENVE Road Stem takes a deliberate approach: a carbon body built to exceed the stiffness and durability of aluminum stems in the same weight class, without overcomplicating the execution. At 120g, it sits in a range where most stems make trade-offs between weight and reliability — ENVE chose reliability. The aluminum faceplate is a conscious decision, not a shortcut; carbon offered no measurable advantage there, so they kept metal where metal works. Construction is straightforward by design. The carbon body pairs with a four-bolt aluminum faceplate and a two-bolt steerer clamp — all six fasteners are titanium, threading into alloy inserts embedded in the stem itself. The handlebar clamp surface is left intentionally rough on the stem side for a more secure grip on your bars. Available in six lengths from 80mm to 130mm, it fits a wide range of road positions without requiring any proprietary hardware or special tools.
