Enzyme Restore provides digestive support via supplemental betaine hydrochloride, pepsin, and pancreatin, along with other known synergists. Gastric juice contains hydrochloric aci d and pepsinogens, precursors of the family of proteolytic enzymes called pepsins. Betaine hydrochloride represents a dietary source of hydrochloric acid, a strong mineral acid which functions to maintain healthy gastric pH. Pancreatin is derived from porcine pancreas, highly enriched in pancreatic enzymes, in a ratio akin to human pancreas.
