The EOD badge took its current form over years, not overnight: bomb disposal squads were renamed EOD in 1949, a design competition ran through Aberdeen Proving Ground starting in 1 952, and the final badge wasn't approved for wear until 1957. Master level — shown here — comes only after 96 cumulative months in an EOD position. Known in the community as "Initial Success, or Total Failure," the laurel wreath honors those who didn't come home.Cast in 3D sculpted metal, 3.5" x 2.75", with permanent 3M double-sided waterproof adhesive on the back — built for any flat, smooth surface, indoors or out.
