The Epic Dining Table is a collaboration between GUBI and the Copenhagen-based studio GamFratesi, founded by Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi. Their practice is rooted in a dialogue between Scandinavian sensibility and Mediterranean craft, and the Epic collection makes that lineage visible. The table's monolithic base draws its proportion from the column forms of ancient Greek and Roman architecture - not as pastiche, but as structural grammar. Each base reads as a single sculpted mass, grounding the dining surface with an almost ceremonial weight. Available in round and elliptical formats across multiple sizes Outdoor edition extends the collection to open-air environments Materials include travertine, quartzite, and hand-finished steel Each material finish carries its own surface character and patina The choice of travertine and quartzite is deliberate. These are stones with geological memory, and their natural veining ensures that no two tables share the same surface. Hand-finished steel introduces an industrial restraint that keeps the classicism from becoming ornamental.
