The Epiphone J-200™ Studio is part of the all-new Epiphone Studio Acoustic Collection. These guitars have been completely reimagined to offer the most authentic and affordable acoustic instruments inspired by iconic Gibson designs. The J-200 Studio blends classic “King of the Flat-Tops” design with modern playability, making it equally appealing to beginners and seasoned players. Based on the legendary Gibson SJ-200, it features a Super Jumbo body and a 25.5" scale length, just like the original Gibson model that inspired it. Delivering a warm, rich tone with exceptional clarity, this acoustic suits a wide range of musical styles. It features a layered maple body, four-ply top binding, and single-ply binding on the back, fretboard, and headstock. A solid spruce top provides a responsive and balanced tone with excellent dynamic range that will continue to improve as the guitar ages. The mahogany neck is joined to the body with a glued-in, tapered dovetail joint and features a comfortable 1960s SlimTaper™ D-profile. The rosewood fretboard includes 20 standard frets and is accented with pearloid graduated crown inlays. The strings pass over a compensated plastic saddle and anchor to the iconic Moustache™ rosewood bridge with ivory bridge pins with black dots. The bridge is decorated with four pearloid inlays for added vintage character. A classic J-200-style tortoiseshell pickguard with the legendary two-color J-200 graphics enhances the vintage aesthetic. Additional details include a bound 60s Kalamazoo-style headstock with the Epiphone logo and Gibson Crown in mother of pearl, and Epiphone Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons. For stage-ready performance, the J-200 Studio comes equipped with Fishman® electronics, including an S-Core under-saddle pickup and Fishman Presys™ VT preamp with soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls. These controls are easy for the player to access, yet remain nearly invisible to the audience. The Epiphone J-200 Studio features a gloss finish and is offered in two vintage-inspired colors: Natural and Vintage Sunburst. Available in both right- and left-handed versions, and includes a standard gig bag. A 9-volt battery is required to power the pickup (not included).
