Description: Equitex is an easy to use, non-sterile, all purpose poultice dressing which can be used as a hot, cold or dry dressing. Pack Size: 44g x 20cm x 40cm multi-layered poultice dressing. Hot Poultice Dressing Cut the dressing to size and place in a shallow tray of boiled water which hasbeen allowed to cool to 38°C. Once saturated, remove the dressing and gently squeeze out excess water. Place poultice on the affected area with the plastic backing away from the skin. Hold in place with a stretch conforming, elastic adhesive or cohesive bandage. For open wounds, normal antiseptic precautions must be taken. Cold Poultice DressingAfter soaking the dressing in boiled water, allow to cool thoroughly then apply to the affected area. The dressing can also be chilled in the refrigerator in the outer plastic bag. Dry Dressing/Pressure Padding Simply apply the dressing to the affected area and bandage with a stretch conforming elastic or adhesive bandage.
