A trusted partner for any gravel ride, trail mission or bikepacking trip, taking full advantage of the go-anywhere adventure capabilities of flat pedals.ERGOLACE 2 Ergolace 2 is a lightweight, durable, fast-drying and extremely comfortable shoe for flat pedal riders that dream of going beyond the tarmac. Ergolace 2 Flat builds upon the attitude of its predecessor with an wider shape, reduced bulk, and a revised X2 outsole that’s even more confident on loose or uneven terrain and grippier on flat pedals.LIVE THE DREAMErgolace 2 Flat wants you to ride further, more often and to take your bike to the places that you’ve dreamed of. A new and improved version of a favourite among trail riders, bikepackers, and gravel grinders. Ergolace 2 Flat has an updated shape that’s wider in the metatarsal area, providing more freedom for toes and an overall roomier fit that increases comfort for long days spent on the bike, or long minutes spent pushing it.The right choice for every off-road adventure, from daily exploration to longer bikepacking trips or even backcountry missions aboard an e-MTB, Ergolace is back and better than ever. LESS MATERIAL, MORE PROTECTIONThe upper features a lightweight and breathable ripstop fabric, eliminating any excess materials and bulk, helping the shoes dry fast and feel faster. Wide PU-laminated areas add protection and durability, while the toe box is further reinforced to protect feet from rocks and roots. The practical, foot-wrapping bootie construction made from perforated Airprene fabric provides more comfort than a traditional tongue construction since there are fewer material overlays, resulting in a pressure-free fit. Additionally, the perforated Airprene fabric allows moisture vapor to escape for better breathability and shoes that dry faster after wet rides.SAME SUPPORT, ONLY SPEEDIERThe closure system for Ergolace 2 Flat is ergonomic and asymmetric so as not to interfere with the bike’s drivetrain. Proven across the World on the first Ergolace, the latest iteration of the lace closure system keeps feet secure and stable in the wildest riding conditions. The speedlace system is easy to lock and release, even on the fly, for a practical approach to adjustability. NEW X2: A GRIPPIER GROOVEThe revised X2 Flat outsole provides the type of shoe to-pedal interface you need for fast trail riding and gravel adventures, combining the stickiest Vibram XS Ride rubber compound with a specific zonal lug pattern. The mid-foot area has lower lugs with a more regular shape to improve the mechanical grip with the pedals; the pedal pins fit better in the grooves of the outsole locking the shoe in place even on rougher tracks. To improve ground traction during hike-a-bike moments, we took inspiration from other outdoor disciplines to develop a more aggressive tread under the heel and toes—places where the outsole doesn’t interact with the pedal. Here, the lugs are taller and the pattern is wider to dig into the ground better.Technical Specifications Weight - 744g per pair (size 42) Width - regular using anotomical last with reduced heel-toe drop and more toe box room Cleat adjustment - yes Outsole material - Nylon shank and Vibram Megagrip compound Outsole Stiffness - 4 Closure system - Speedlace Sizes - 36-48 Intended use - Trail / Gravel / Commute VERSATILE SUPPORT: Ideal choice for extended adventures where day-after day comfort is key; designed to be adaptable, easily transitioning from gravel roads to singletrack and backcountry adventures.ERGOLACE: Ergonomic speedlace closure for a practical and secure fit.X2 FLAT OUTSOLE: Revised tread pattern and Vibram XS Ride rubber compound to maximize grip on the pedals
