From the label (back cover): With t wo exceptions, this record is a live recording of a concert performed at Les Ateliers Claus in Brussels, in March 2024. It was preceded by three short hours of improvisation sproad over the previous two days, during which ErikM and I carefully observed each other's playing. We had both brought more gear than strictly necessary-several cases each-enough to play several concerts without ever repeating ourselves. Erik had brought his turntables, a set of sophisticated electronic machines, and a near-infinite bank of sounds. I came equipped with both a mechanical orchestra and a wide range of acoustic instruments. Over the course of those two sessions, we gradually eliminatedanything superfluous or ineffective.
