🐾 Hi, I'm Ernie! 🐾 I'm not exactly sure how I ended up here, but at 7 years old, I'm finally looking for the forever family I've always deserved. ❤️ I was found wandering the streets, and before I knew it, I was headed north to a wonderful foster home where I've been getting a fresh start. 🏡 If you're looking for a classic Labrador, I'm your guy! 🐶 I'm friendly, loyal, easygoing, and happiest when I'm with my family. Right now I live with my foster parents and three pretty handsome foster dog siblings, and I get along great with all of them. 🐕🐕🐕 I haven't met any cats yet, so I'm not sure what I'd think about them. 🐱 My foster family says I've been a complete gentleman from day one. ✅ 🐾 Fully potty trained🌙 Sleeps peacefully through the night in his own bed🚗 Loves car rides🦮 Enjoys going for walks🌳 Likes exploring the yard❤️ Happiest wherever his people are Honestly, if you're moving from room to room, chances are I'll be right behind you, just happy to keep you company. I'm a loyal shadow with a very handsome Labrador face. 😊 I did arrive with heartworm, but please don't let that worry you. I'm already receiving treatment and I'm expected to make a full recovery. 💪❤️ MLRR will cover the entire cost of my heartworm treatment through their veterinary partner in Naperville. 🩺 That means my future family can focus on what really matters: helping me settle into my forever home. After everything I've been through, I'm simply hoping for a family who will love me for the rest of my days. A yard would be wonderful, plenty of belly rubs and head scratches are always appreciated, and most of all, I just want to belong. 🏡🐾 I've left life on the streets behind me.
