Description: This Refrigerator Defrost Heater is a replacement part for specific GE refrigerator models. It plays a crucial role in the defrost system by heating the evaporator coil to melt any frost buildup. This ensures that the refrigerator operates efficiently by preventing ice accumulation that can obstruct airflow and cooling. Over the time, defrost heaters can fail due to factors such as electrical issues, prolonged use, or thermal stress. When the defrost heater malfunctions, frost can accumulate excessively on the evaporator coils, leading to cooling problems. This is an aftermarket part that can be used as a replacement for the OEM part. California Residents only WARNING: Cancer and/or Reproductive Harm - www.p65warnings.ca.gov Show more
